A recently widowed U.S. postal worker was kidnapped and killed while delivering mail to homes in rural North Carolina, according to the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation.
USPS releases EMA charts effective June 25th, 2026
Based on this release, the Equipment Maintenance Allowance (EMA) for rural carriers will increase 12.0¢ to $1.07 per mile. This EMA rate will be effective June 27, 2026 (Pay Period 15-2026).
