Rural Carrier Hero: Tina Liniger, Moxee City, WA

Moxee City, WA, Rural Carrier Tina Liniger was delivering mail recently when she spotted a little girl wandering down a roadside ditch.

Liniger knew where the 3-year-old child lived and took her home. The girl’s mother was not aware her daughter had wandered off and was grateful for Liniger’s help.

Later that day, Liniger noticed a small puppy in a field. The dog, named Spike, appeared to be very hungry.

Liniger found Spike’s owner and took the dog home.

Employees featured in “Heroes’ corner also receive letters of commendation through the Postmaster General Heroes’ program. The nomination form is available on Blue.
