Postal Service Honors Argos Rural Carrier Tim Overmyer for 32 Years of Dedicated Service

ARGOS, IN – As part of the United States Postal Service “For the Long Haul” initiative, we are proud to celebrate Tim Overmyer, a dedicated rural carrier who has faithfully served the Argos community for 32 years. Tim’s unwavering commitment and exceptional service have made him a beloved figure in the neighborhoods he serves.

“For the Long Haul” is an initiative designed to honor the remarkable dedication of long-serving employees like Tim, who have become integral parts of their communities. Over the years, Tim has developed lasting relationships with residents, going above and beyond to ensure their mail is delivered with care and reliability.

Tim Overmyer began his postal career as a rural carrier assistant in Argos in June, 1992. He was promoted to rural carrier in 1998. His dedication extends beyond his postal duties as he is also involved in church activities. He is known for his many acts of kind assistance to members of the community in need.

“When you hear words like faith, integrity, strong work ethic, and compassion, they exemplify the type of person Tim is,” said Argos Postmaster Teresa Smith.
