When Rural Carrier Brandon Webman was out delivering on a snow-covered back road in Chichester, NH, last winter, he saw a customer ready to greet him at the end of his driveway.
As the man moved toward his mailbox, he slipped and hit his head on the ground.
Webman immediately contacted emergency medical services, who transported the bleeding man to the hospital.
A few days later, the customer came to the Post Office to express his profound gratitude to the carrier.
He explained that, because of the medication he was taking, he would have passed away without the carrier’s quick action.
The day of the incident was meaningful to Webman for another reason: It was his 30th birthday.
