“It’s the first time in my life I can say I love what I do,” says Daniel Campos, a mail carrier in Hollister, CA.
When Campos first transitioned from a retail job to his part-time USPS position, he said, he felt like he didn’t know what he was getting himself into. He worked his way up the ladder, picking up shifts whenever he could, and saying yes to everything.
Now Campos is a full-time employee and has been working the same route in Ridgemark for the past four years. He said his favorite part of the job has been the relationships he’s built with the people in the neighborhood. “You kind of get to know these people because you see them every day,” he said. “You drive in there and people will start waving.”
